Delete account
This page explains how to delete your account in Dareboard, the party game by Serhii Romanenko (FOP) on the App Store and Google Play, and what happens to your data.
You have an account only if you signed in with Apple or Google. If you played as a guest, we hold nothing about you: deleting the app removes everything from your phone.
1. In the app
- Open Dareboard and sign in, if you are not signed in already.
- Go to Account and tap Delete account.
- Read the notice and tap Delete for good.
The account is deleted at once. This step needs an internet connection.
2. Without the app
E-mail privacy@dareboard.app with the subject “Delete my account”. Write from the e-mail address of the Apple or Google account you signed in with, and say which of the two you used.
If you chose to hide your e-mail with Sign in with Apple, add the relay address Apple made for Dareboard (it ends in @privaterelay.appleid.com). You can find it in your Apple Account settings under Sign in with Apple.
If we cannot match the request to an account, we ask you for more details. We never ask for a password.
3. What is deleted
- Your account: the identifier Apple or Google gave us for you, the sign-in method and your e-mail address.
- Your sign-ins on every device.
- Your own tasks.
- The link between your account and the app on your devices.
- For Sign in with Apple, Dareboard's access to your Apple Account is revoked.
On the phone, the app removes the account's data as soon as the account is deleted. The players you were setting up are removed with it. A game in progress stays on the phone until the game ends or you delete the app.
4. What is kept
- Purchase records: the store's record of a subscription or purchase, without any link to you, for 3 years, as Ukrainian tax and accounting law requires; then it is erased.
- Crash reports and usage counts, if you allowed them: they carry no name or e-mail address and expire on their own, within 90 days at Sentry and 12 months at PostHog.
- Server logs expire after 30 days. Backups that still hold deleted data expire within one month, and deleted data is never restored from them.
5. Your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, and we cannot cancel it for you: Apple and Google handle every payment. Cancel it first in the subscription settings of the App Store or Google Play.
6. How long it takes
In the app: at once. By e-mail: within 30 days of your request, and we reply when it is done.
